7 Signs it might be Autumn...
even if the calendar doesn’t say so.
1. Sunlight
The sun is rising later and settling earlier too. That is the most noticeable difference. If you observe the sun’s path across the sky, you’ll see the arc is shifting south.
2. Air
It just feels and smells a bit different…slightly cooler, crisper and more fallen leaves smell instead of flowers.
3. Insects
If you listen you will hear insects singing slower on cool evenings. The chirp of a cricket changes too!
4. Birds
Birds and butterflies migrate long the path of the sun. You will hear geese flying overhead and the hummingbirds begin the leave.
5. Squirrels
Although they always seem to be scurrying around, they seem to get more busy this time of year. They have to get those nuts stashed!
6. Weather
The grass grows slower and has more dew in the mornings. Windy days are more common along with tropical storms and hurricanes. Not to mention the leaves that start to fall and change.
7. Harvest Moon
Is coming Monday, September 16th and will last for multiple days in a row! This phenomenon is what has traditionally helped farmers to have more abundance of light to harvest their crops.
And, just because the weather has changed, that doesn’t mean you have to delay your moving plans. Autumn can be a great time to Buy or Sell. Give us call or drop us a line. 224-650-7748
