Moving with Pets? It can be done!
If you are moving with pets, it can be done! A little upfront planning will make the move smooth for all involved.
- Communicate with your agent. You love your pet, but your potential buyers may not. Plan to have the pet out of the house for pictures and showings- take them for a walk, car ride or event pet daycare.
- Prep your home for sale. If we can smell it, we can’t sell it. Do your best to clean up stains and smells and ask us for ideas too!
- Moving day – keep your pet in a safe, quiet space.
- Crate/carrier – invest in one if you don’t have one.
- Pet tags – update them with your new address.
- Veterinary records – request them if you need to find a new vet.
- First aid kit – consider one for your furry loved ones.
- Learn about your new area – health concerns or laws
- Prep your new home – to reduce their moving stress too.
Your pets will thank you,
Joe, Jean, Donna & Jessa
