What is a Fiduciary?
and...what that means to you!
According to the CFPB- (Consumer Financial Protection Bureau) a fiduciary is someone who manages money or property for someone else. When you’re named a fiduciary and accept the role, you must – by law – manage the person’s money and property for their benefit, not yours.
A fiduciary is an associate or agent who makes a commitment to act with the client’s interest ahead of all others, even their own. They prioritize the best interests of their clients and provide high-level service, taking on high responsibility and using high skill. They anticipate needs, perceive information, and advise and consult their clients. Fiduciary service is considered the highest quality of service that can be provided to buyers and sellers in the real estate industry.
A fiduciary is one who not only does the tasks of the job, but is also in a high-trust relationship with their client. They feel totally responsible for the outcome. They put their clients, interest above their own and treat all client information as confidential.
The Spouses Selling Houses Team at Keller Williams Realty Partners are your fiduciary. We accept the responsibility to use our best judgment to interpret information and then educate, consult, and guide you to the best possible outcome. We put your needs before our own - that is our goal, that is the law and that is what sets us apart.
Sadly, not all real estate agents are fiduciaries, but we are and always have and always will be!
