Team doings in November!
The Spouses Selling Houses Team gathered with our fellow neighbors in Des Plaines for our 7th Annual Turkey Trot. Donations were gathered for the Self-Help Closet & Food Pantry of Des Plaines. Walkers/Runners gathered at the Beacon Tap before and after the “trot”. Thanks to them for staying open for us and all the other sponsors!
Donna, her boyfriend, and fellow alum Mike, along with his Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity brothers visited Wrigley Field to watch their beloved Fighting Illini beat the Northwestern Wildcats! Wrigley Field was the chosen field as NW’s football field is under major reconstruction. The day was frigid, but thanks to the sun, hand warmers and some adult beverages the day was bearable! The two teams play for the Land of Lincoln Trophy, have met 118 times, and currently, Illinois is in the lead! ILL INI!
Before it got super cold, Jean and Donna had a lunch meeting at Superdawg in Chicago. We had to visit the renovated hot dog statues of Maurie and Flaurie on the roof. They have been up there since 1948 and are named for the original owners. The drive-in is still family owned and the food still tastes great!
Joe, Jean, Carl and grandkids Callie and Brooks also got to spend time at Wrigley Field — both inside and out. The field was still set up for NW football as well.
